About
Master Degree Program Photography is designed to provide students with knowledge and skills related to the development and opportunities of photographic image, with its language and aesthetics, with theoretical and technical basis as well as the place and significance in contemporary art in the world and in Bulgaria.
The training is conducted by certified lecturers through lectures, intensive practical courses, implementation of short art projects, discussions, guest lecturers, workshops. Students have at their disposal modern equipment through which at a professional level to develop their individual work.
The Master Degree Program includes:
– Detailed study of the history and theory of photography.
– Understanding, practicing and experimenting with classical and contemporary photographic technology as a form of visual expression.
– Developing critical and creative thinking on the social and cultural discourse of contemporary art.
– Working in multidisciplinary areas (art, photography, photo installation, experimental film, video art).
The program provides technical and creative skills in classical and contemporary photography through the free choice of a variety of additional courses and workshops.
In the second year students design and carry out a thesis in collaboration with leading senior lecturer and present the result of the creative process at the end of the third semester.
