About

Masters of Painting develop their capacity and expertise within an approved personal program and obligatory amount of theoretical and practical activities. During studies they gain extensive knowledge related to the existence of contemporary art and their artistic activities, addressing the complexities of reality and public perception. They create the images typical of the time in which they live and work, and are capable of influencing the aesthetic taste of their contemporaries.

Masters’ program ends with a diploma thesis that demonstrates gained creative experience, the beginning of a creative career, high level of general culture and a degree of mastery of expressive means of painting and other visual practices. The diploma thesis is a solo exhibition within the framework of the NAA. It solves complex aesthetic issues, seeks to answer questions related to personal style and demonstrates artistic and social position. The thesis is accompanied by a short literary essay, which enables the Commission to assess, consider and evaluate the results presented. Master degree graduates can practice in all areas of art, teach in high schools in the country, provided that they have the necessary pedagogical training, and hold senior positions in the areas of culture, education and public life.
