About
Graduates of the BA academic degree in Sculpture acquire knowledge and skills for creative artistic development. Basic means and specifics of sculpture is spatial development of the image. This requires further study and mastery of working with clay, plaster, wax, as well as with durable plastic materials such as stone and metal.
By performing the tasks set out in the curriculum, students are introduced to plastic volumetric and compositional principles of building sculptural work. Sculpturing from life, in its diversity, is the main subject of academic work in the speciality. The department has a studio and training facilities for implementation in material.
As part of a team, Bachelors – sculptors can fully perform organizational, managerial, research, design, production and development activities. They can teach in general education and vocational schools, provided that they have acquired professional qualification for art teacher after completion of a full course of a minor in “Theory and practice of art education”.
